In the summer of 2026 Geologist Léon Pors will be organizing a Geology of Curaçao 2-day workshop including a full day excursion in which we will visit all the geological formations of the island. This workshop is perfect for geography teachers, tourist guides and everyone who is interested in the natural history of Curaçao and wants to know more about its origins. Tourist guides who participated in the Geology-activity at Hato Caves in the summer of 2025 will find an extensive addition of information in this workshop. This workshop is not as intensive as our normal 6-day course, but includes the highlights.
Dates:
Session 1 theory session | Tuesday July 21st 2026 starting at 17.30 -20.00 hours.
Location will be announced later.
Session 2 Full Day excursion | Saturday July 25th 2026 from 07.30 0 16.30 hours. A full day trip visiting all the geological highlights of the island. The trip includes a vegetarian lunch, refreshments and fruit. Starting point will be announced during the first session. This trip will be done by carpooling in private vehicles.
Cost:
The workshop fee is XCG 125 per person including lunch, refreshments, fresh fruit and materials. Registration is final after the fee has been paid by bank. Limited seating available.
