Introduced to the ABC-islands in colonial times, the Aloe vera plant is now almost naturalized on the islands and grows in the wild.
There are two (2) tree species on the island that have been the source of an enormous amount of discussions and disagreements between people because of their name; the Kibrahacha and the Brasia.
A small delicate yellow flower almost everybody oversees.
This tiny little beauty is almost always overlooked as too many people classify it as ‘only a weed’ (onkruid).
The spiny Infrou (Opuntia caracassana). This native cactus does exceptionally well on the island as it favours degraded areas such as pieces of land.
A wild plant you can mainly find on places where the original vegetation is heavily disturbed is the so called Mexican poppy or Flowering thistle.
